CGCSA’s annual summit is a flagship event for the retail and FMCG sectors, yet its event materials felt purely functional, overloaded with generic schedules and sponsor blocks that didn’t reflect the summit’s thought leadership or influence.

To elevate the experience, I led a full redesign of the summit booklet. Content was reimagined to spotlight key insights, transforming the agenda into editorial-style features like “10 Trends Reshaping African Retail.” The visual system embraced bold, African-inspired aesthetics, paired with rich data visualisations to engage attendees. QR codes introduced interactivity, linking to speaker interviews and podcast snippets. Sponsor placements were restructured as strategic content partnerships rather than passive advertisements.

The result was a modern, insight-driven booklet that aligned with the summit’s influence turning passive reading into a meaningful and memorable experience for attendees.
